Sending Ad Hoc Notifications from Event Page in OBS
Learn how to send one-off SMS messages directly to clients on an event manifest, making it easy to communicate event updates, confirmations, reminders, and other important information.
Users can now send ad hoc email or SMS notifications directly from the Events page in OBS. To do this, the user will firstly need to navigate to the Event as shown below.

Once you've landed on the Event page, the user will need to select "Event Messaging" as shown below.

Before sending the notification, select the clients from the event manifest who should receive it.
To select all clients, use the checkbox at the top of the column. To select individual clients, tick the checkbox next to each line item.
Once the clients have been selected, enter the notification message as shown below.

After the notification has been written, select "Send Message" to send the client notifications.
Once the notifications have been sent, the page will redirect back to the Event page. The user can the check the send status of those notifications by directing back into the Event Messaging page for that event.

After an ad hoc message has been sent, the Message page provides a delivery summary for all participants who were selected to receive the communication.
The page displays the original message along with the delivery status for each participant. If a client has an Email Notification address recorded in their profile, the email details and delivery status will be displayed in the Notify Emails and Sent At columns. If a client has an SMS Notification Number recorded, the mobile number and SMS delivery status will appear in the Notify Mobiles and corresponding Sent At columns. Clients with both an email address and SMS notification number configured will have delivery information displayed for both communication methods. Any delivery issues will be shown in the relevant Error column, and messages can be resent individually if required.
